The ideal steam generator for windshield demisting/defrosting tests for vehicle type approval and for device development. It simulates the steam amount generated by passengers inside the cabin.
This steam generator is suitable for windshield demisting tests in conformity with Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE J902_201909) and European Standards ((EU) 2021/535).
Defroster device is equipped with the front windshield of automobile / train cars to prevent demist/defrost formation and keep the driver’s visibility. The steam generator is used for windshield demisting/defrosting tests for vehicle type approval and for device development.
The apparatus consists of a power control unit and a steam generator. The power control unit controls the steam amount to generate. For demising/defrosting tests, it is to be placed inside the cabin. It generates the steam amount equivalent to the tested number of passengers.
Two models are available, one for up to seven passengers equivalent and the other for up to eleven corresponding from small to large vehicles. By employing multiple units, it can be applied also for buses and trains.
It will be manufactured and verified according to your requested standard.
